DaySpring Daily Word of Inspiration: Romans 8:28 – And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
Ever heard the phrase, “You brought that on yourself”? If you’re a child or a parent, I’m sure that this statement has found its way into one of your conversations. Well this happens to be the case for the entire human race. Since sin entered into this world our blood lines have consisted of a sin nature that continues to corrupt and mislead us into various pitfalls daily.
As a parent or child how would you feel if every time you were about to get into major trouble you got saved? Now I want you to truly think about that….. Most of us would think, “Great, I don’t have to face the pain of that”. Unfortunately that’s not always the best thing for us. Even if we did get saved from our own mess time and time again, the saver would soon get tired of always saving our tails and make us learn a lesson so we don’t get into the same mess again. When you were growing up as a child or growing your children up, there are some things that you have to allow to be experienced and learned from. Some things you don’t step in on because you know that if you save them from that thing now, it could lead to drastic problems in their future.
Our Father in heaven is sort of the same way, but with a better methodology. Our sin puts us all in compromising circumstances at one time or another. Now in reality, God could save us from ourselves at any time he wanted to. However, if he did we wouldn’t learn the lessons that he needs us to. God allows us to go through trials, problems and the like so we are built up in faith and conviction about who he is. The great thing about God is no matter what he allows the enemy to do to us, if we truly are God’s children – through those trial or circumstance – we learn to be stronger in the Lord. He uses those problems, situations and trials to work out for our good. They work out to make us wiser, more thoughtful, and able to live without repeating mistakes. It’s a set up!!!!
God may allow the enemy to mess with our lives but in the end, he still has all authority and even the stuff the enemy thought he could use to break us, God can use to elevate us.
Trouble and trials in life will come. God can and will use them to your benefit if you believe and are rooted in him in true LOVE.
The scripture today is simple, we can count on our good and our bad to work out for our good if we love God first – because in love we understand He wouldn’t allow the discipline, whether by His hand or self-inflicted. There is a lesson to be learned in all things, but learning the lessons in God will be better for your soul in accordance with his purposes. Show your love for God this day and everyday forward. Have a blessed day. In Jesus’ name, AMEN!
