DaySpring Daily Word of Inspiration: Luke 2:11 – for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.

 Happy Birthday! Today we celebrate the only gift that has ever been given in all of humanity that continues to give to us each and every day; the gift of Jesus Christ being born for the ultimate work of saving our souls. As you begin your morning, take time to meditate with family, friends, and loved ones on the gift that Jesus gave us on His birthday and make a decision this day to give Him a gift in return. What gift can you give to the Creator of the entire universe; the one who has everything? Biblically speaking, we can rejoice in Him knowing that He has come, we can truly have joy in our hearts about why He came into this world and we can actually worship Him in devotion as the One and true Savior King (see Matt. 2:10-11).

 Today symbolizes the greatest and most needed birth in all of history. It was the coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. What gift can you give Him on this day? A good start is by making room in your heart for Him, His sacrifice, and His gift of salvation to you. The purposed birth of Christ is a gift we can’t repay, but who’s willing to try with all you have to showcase you recognize you didn’t deserve it but that you’re grateful He did it anyways?

 We pray that Christ is the central focus for you and your family today. That you praise Him, worship Him and give Him the thanks He is due….I mean for goodness sakes, it’s His birthday! Let us ALL act like it! In Jesus’ name, AMEN!
