Our drifting away from God is subtle, it sneaks up on us. It’s as if one day we are on fire for God, and the next day we wake up and are no longer in church. What happened? There are a number of reasons we may find ourselves disconnected from the Lord, but I submit all reasons can be summed up into one…sin. Sin separates us from God. Sin causes us to have shame, guilt and to withdraw from God.  Rather it be the sin of adultery, or the sin of pride, lust, greed, bitterness, idolatry, etc.…sin unchecked, unrepented, unconfessed,  will begin to control us and will manifest itself in our lives.
