DaySpring Daily Word of Inspiration: Philippians 4:4 – Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!
I am sooo happy to be here! Honestly, I’m excited to still be here! I truly believe every day that God gives me to be on this planet, its apart of his divine plan to make me a more complete being and he still has work for me to do. Thank you Jesus! For this reason, even today, I will give God thanks & rejoice in his goodness…..always! What say you? How do you look at each and every day that you’ve been blessed with?
I will be the first to admit, there’s not always a smile on my face in the morning. I wake up with the stresses, lack of confidence, inability to cope with the futures unknowns and wonders of why things aren’t working out in my life; just as I would suppose many of you out there do as well. So what’s the difference? What allows the same things that burden others down to be just an afterthought for those of us who call on the name of the Lord? It is perspective. Each day, I (as many of you) start the day off with thoughts of what the day brings but immediately between those thoughts, I start to think about my God. I start to remember how he brought me from one situation to another. I remember how when I release my problems, concerns and anxieties, he always comes through for me. I remember how he’s never lied and because of my commitment to a life of sacrifice he will secure me. This makes me happy! Where there was fear, I am now comforted by how God always shows up. I can smile, I can look to the heavens and I can rejoice.
Rejoicing is our freedom! It’s an exclamation of our appreciation and hope in what God can, has and will do! Keeping God’s praise on your lips will increase your ability to see him through your situation and take your focus off what you’re going through. As you begin to see God for who he really is, you won’t be able to help but rejoice! To scream out praise and thanks unto God will release your mind from the trap of the enemy and move you forward with hope for your future.
Are you experiencing this in your life? Can you see God’s power in the midst of your situations, concerns and fears? Do you have the reassurance that makes you rejoice in the face of adversity? Do you feel like you don’t know how to rejoice or even worse, don’t have a reason to rejoice or why it even matters? If this is you and you’re reading this meditation today, YOU have a reason to rejoice! We as Christians look at our circumstances as an opportunity to experience God’s provision in our lives and produces an uncontrollable gladness from within that can only be described as rejoicing. You can have this same power to rejoice; through your surrender, you can embrace God’s sovereignty and you will be able to rejoice!
Today we want you to get refocused on seeing God for who he is. If you don’t see a reason in your life, after being awaken by the God of the universe day after day to rejoice, that means the blinders are on and we want to pray that God provides sight for you again. Although things in life get hard and situations come up all of the time, God is still in control and has a plan for your life. Once you get the reality of that, you will never have another problem rejoicing in the Lord ever again. God please open our eyes to see you and understand our rejoicing only comes through learning about who you are and how you’re always there for us. We thank you in advance for all of the reasons you’ve given us and all you will give us in the future to rejoice in your name. In Jesus’ name, AMEN!
