DaySpring Daily Word of Inspiration: John 14:6 – Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
This is only one way to get back into a relationship with God. That way is Jesus Christ.
Many people try to have their own idea of what this life has intended for them. They live by their own rules, answer to no one and feel that they are the creators of their own destinies. I submit to you today, if you are god of everything in your life, what room do you have in your life for the one true God?
As the Father accepts the son, so will he accept everyone who accepts His Son. Trusting in Jesus opens the pathway for you and I to get access to the Father. We need to get to a state in which we are going to Jesus, accepting his truths, living by his commands and embodying his lifestyle. Why is this so important? Well, when we want God to see us, we want him to see Jesus, not us!
In times of old, if you had a problem or concern, you weren’t able to go to the King and make your petition. You had to know someone who could get you in front of the King. This is even more true with our heavenly King. We need Jesus to get access to the presence of God. Not just to be in his presence but to develop a rich relationship with him.
When we link up with Jesus, he shows us how to conduct ourselves, how to live and most importantly – how to address the King. Truth of the matter is, we don’t know how to do it effectively so we need someone on the inside to show us how to have genuine decorum when we’re approaching or in the presence of the King.
Do you want the King to acknowledge you? Have you accepted His messenger? Are you going through the right connections to get to the King?
Today we want to look at our connections to others and make sure they’re not messing up our connections to Jesus, which in turn destroys our connection to God.
Be alert and make sure that you are not trying to go through untested connections or unproven sources to get to God. Jesus wants to walk with us into the King’s presence, not just send us in to fend for ourselves. Let’s learn to rely on Jesus more so that we can humbly approach to King’s throne. Have a blessed day all, in Jesus’ name, AMEN!
