DaySpring Daily Word of Inspiration: Col. 3:16 – Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.
Time for another chance to hear from God’s word and be propelled in the spirit to live a fuller, more godly life. Here we go….
This Christian walk is a team effort. We walk the same walk, talk the same talk and even experience the same issues and problems. It is these relatable experiences that unites us but also strengthens us… if we do it together. There is much to be learned from one another. Your strength in one area can be the encouragement that someone else needs to fight their battle in another area.
How can we share in these experiences and give of ourselves so freely? We have to have God’s word firmly rooted in our souls. God’s word is truly amazing when you allow it to affect your heart. It will show you how to treat others, how to not worry about problems, how to be more like his Son and of course, how to have genuine fellowship among the believers. This is a part of God’s perfect plan. As we grow in the knowledge of the gospel we should be exhibiting the fruits of the Spirit, while building our base of convictions. This keeps us well equipped to deal with our brothers/sisters downfalls/shortcomings and shows us how magnificent God has been to us which produces a true gratitude in our hearts; keeping us focused on getting God’s work done in our lives.
We all have a chance to begin this week with a different outlook on what God’s word is trying to develop in our lives and the body of the fellowship of believers. This change is possible when you do your part!
We need to be reading our word (the bible) daily, infusing God’s principles into our souls, living out these new found revelations and being consistent with not only sharing that knowledge but making sure our brothers and sisters are living in that same vain. We grow individually but also we grow together as the body of Christ. Once we allow God’s word to richly take root in our lives, we won’t have to be asked to do things, that will now be second nature. We will regularly check in on our brothers and sisters to make sure they’re growing and winning the daily battle of deny themselves. Lastly, it will result in ultimate praises to God, thanking him for how His plan and His way has never failed us but made us all the stronger. This byproduct of having God’s Word in you is the outpouring of our gratitude in all kinds of songs, hymns, and psalms. Are they in you?
Today, let your genuine outcry to God be of thanks and gratitude. See how you can be a blessing or encouragement to your fellow brother or sister today and show God your heart. If His Word is in your vessel today, this won’t be hard to do. Have a great day and we pray all of these things in Jesus’ name, AMEN!
